Tesla Sends Software Fix to 1.6 Million Cars in China for Hood Lock Problem
Listen to the full version

(Bloomberg) — Tesla Inc. is to release a software update to most of the cars it has sold in China due to an issue that could leave a hood unlocked, creating a safety hazard, according to a notice by the state market regulator.
A latch assembly issue means the driver may not be alerted about an unlocked front hood, which could allow it to fly open when the vehicle is being driven, increasing the risk of a crash, according to a recall notice from China’s State Administration for Market Regulation on Tuesday.
