China ousted four more senior generals from its national legislature, in the latest development in a sweeping anti-corruption campaign of the military’s top ranks that has shaken the People’s Liberation Army.
The Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress announced on Friday that it had dismissed a full general and three lieutenant generals from their legislative posts. Two of the officers are members of the Communist Party’s elite Central Committee, signaling the ongoing anti-corruption campaign is continuing to reach the highest echelons of the armed forces.
