Chinese Premier to Visit North Korea for Ruling Party Anniversary

Chinese Premier Li Qiang will visit North Korea this week to attend the 80th anniversary celebration of the country’s ruling party, China’s foreign ministry announced Tuesday.
Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee, will lead a party and government delegation on an official visit from Oct. 9 to 11, according to a foreign ministry spokesperson.
