Two Dead After Cargo Jet Veers Off Hong Kong Airport Runway

Two people were killed after a cargo plane veered off a runway while landing at Hong Kong International Airport on Monday, crashing into a ground vehicle and plunging into the sea.
The Emirates flight, EK9788, from Dubai was operated by Turkish carrier ACT Airlines. It veered off the north runway at around 3:50 a.m., crashed through a fence, and hit a security patrol car before crashing into the water, according to Airport Authority Hong Kong.
