Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com Inc. confirmed on Wednesday that its warehouse in Paris was burglarized, though the company disputed media reports alleging losses exceeded 37 million euros (nearly $44 million).
The U.S.- and Hong Kong-listed retailer said that local police have launched an investigation into the incident. While operations at the facility have returned to normal, JD.com said reported claims of “significant financial losses” differ substantially from the actual situation.
