AutoNavi, Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.’s mapping unit, is stepping up its efforts in the booming local services market, unveiling a suite of new tools including a high-resolution 3D street view function to help users explore venues virtually before visiting in person.
On Wednesday, the company introduced a major upgrade to its Street Sweeping List, a venue discovery feature launched in September 2025 that ranks local restaurants and shops. The revamp includes real-time recommendation lists, social features that display friends’ activity, and immersive previews of business locations.
