China has raised the maximum cash reward for reporting securities and futures violations to 1 million yuan ($143,320), as regulators seek to strengthen enforcement by encouraging whistleblowers to come forward.
The revised rules, jointly issued by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and the Ministry of Finance, expand incentives for individuals or entities that voluntarily provide clues and evidence of illegal activities in the securities and futures markets.
