Chinese automakers unveiled ambitious global expansion targets at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, in a sign of their increasing focus on overseas markets as competition at home intensifies.
The event, which opened on April 24, may have featured the highest concentration of foreign attendees at a domestic auto exhibition in recent years. Executives said that many European dealers facing a shortage of electric vehicles are increasingly looking to Chinese brands to fill the gap.
