Tencent Holdings Ltd. is allowing developers to integrate their services into WeChat’s new artificial intelligence ecosystem, enabling users to book rides, order food, and plan trips using AI agents.
Major local service and travel platforms, including Meituan, Trip.com Group Ltd., Tongcheng Travel Holdings Ltd. and Didi Global Inc., announced their participation in initial testing shortly after WeChat opened the platform on Monday. Although the feature is not yet available to the public, the integration will eventually allow users to execute transactions through natural conversational commands.
