Yum China Speeds Up AI Integration of Its Supply Chain

Yum China Holdings Inc., the operator of KFC and Pizza Hut in the country, is accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence and robotics across its supply chain to tackle labor challenges and adapt to shifting operational needs.
Speaking at the China International Supply Chain Expo on Monday, Zhang Lekai, Yum China’s senior director of supply chain, said that the company has deployed automated guided vehicles equipped with intelligent algorithms in its cold storage facilities. The robots deliver goods directly to human workers, reducing the time they spend in freezing environments and improving operational efficiency.
