A former anti-graft chief in the eastern city of Nanjing has received a suspended death sentence after being convicted of a raft of charges, including bribery, embezzlement and insider trading.

A court in Central China’s Hubei province handed down the sentence Tuesday after determining that Long Xiang had amassed more than 261 million yuan ($38.7 million) in bribes over 16 years.
