A U.S. federal appeals court has ordered a lower court to reconsider the Defense Department’s designation of SZ DJI Technology Co. Ltd. as a Chinese military company, granting the drone giant a procedural victory in its fight against Washington’s blacklists.

The ruling prolongs DJI’s legal battle to clear its name as it faces escalating pressure from U.S. authorities, including parallel moves by the Federal Communications Commission to systematically block the company’s products from the American market on national security grounds.
