Xiaomi Corp. unveiled three self-developed chips, including a flagship 3-nanometer smartphone processor, as the Chinese technology company steps up its push into advanced semiconductor design.

The rollout highlights Xiaomi’s effort to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers and build a more self-reliant technology ecosystem spanning mobile devices and autonomous driving, despite the high costs and limited initial volumes typically associated with in-house chip development.
