Arm Lands Lenovo, ByteDance Unit as First China Customers for AGI Chip

British chip designer Arm Holdings has secured Lenovo Group and ByteDance's cloud computing unit Volcengine as the first Chinese customers for its newly developed artificial intelligence server chips.

The partnerships mark a critical step in Arm’s aggressive strategic pivot from merely licensing architecture blueprints to selling fully designed processors, allowing the company to capture a larger share of the booming, Nvidia-dominated data center hardware market.
