(Bloomberg) — The fierce brand loyalty inspired by Chinese electric-car makers is something to behold and is a big reason behind the huge success many have had with local buyers.
A look into how Nio chose the location for its 2022 annual customer day to be held later this year is telling. The upstart EV maker eventually landed on Hefei in eastern China’s Anhui province, but only after loyal customers all around the nation competed for their cities to be nominated.
