Analysts: Jet Fuel Price Hike to Have Limited Impact on Airlines
By staff reporter Liang Yang
(.com.cn) Higher aviation fuel prices introduced Sept. 2 will have a limited impact on the performance of Chinese carriers, analysts said.
Higher traffic volumes in the July to September peak season will partially offset the impact of jet fuel price hike, Citic Securities analyst Zeng Xu told .
China Southern Airlines (SSE: 600029; HKEX: 01055; NYSE: ZNH) will be more affected than Air China (SSE: 601111; HKEX: 00753) and China Eastern Airlines (SSE: 600115) as the CSA operates 80 percent of its flights on domestic routes, Zeng added.
