What is the secret to controlling inflation, and more specifically, in Beijing? Thanks to the city's policy makers and their marvelous innovations – updated this Chinese New Year – I have been inspired with all sorts of ideas, so much so that I can't claim a spot of originality.

Out of many of their recent initiatives: to solve the issue of traffic jams, vehicles not registered in the city have restricted entrance into the city; to address the housing bubble, migrants have been given more restrictions on purchases. See the brilliance of these methods? Why can't we use it to manage the curse of inflation?
