Hunan Reformer's 10-Year Quest for Justice

(Changsha) – For the first time in a decade, Tan Zhaohua spent Chinese New Year 2011 at his family home in Changsha with neither a cloud of suspicion nor a prison threat hanging over his head.

It was a festival of deep relief for Tan, 72, a former government official cleared by a high court in January of financial corruption in connection with charges dating from 2001.
