CNPC, Total Agree on Gas Development Plan

(Beijing) -- China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), the country's biggest oil firm, has agreed with France's Total SA on plans to develop the South Sulige gas field in northern China's Inner Mongolia region.

The plan is pending approval by Chinese authorities, Total said on its website April 15, indicating substantial progress made in the project.
