New Head Appointed to Electricity Regulatory Commission

(Beijing) -- Former Governor of Jiangxi Province Wu Xinxiong will take helm as chairman of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, Caixin learnt from a source in the commission.

The appointment was announced at an internal meeting of the commission on June 2, said the source.

Wu, 61, took the position of Jiangxi Province governor in 2007. On May 31, Jiangxi provincial government authorities announced that Wu no longer held the governor position.
