China's Solar Sector Sees Sunrise with Sunset

Ten of the 11 Chinese solar power companies listed on U.S. stock markets posted net losses for the third quarter, and the global industry is roiling over unfair trade allegations leveled by Americans against Chinese, and Chinese against Americans.

Nevertheless, solar sector companies in China including the world's largest panel manufacturer Suntech Power Corp. and No. 1 polysilcon producer GCL-Poly Energy Holdings are pressing ahead with factory expansions. Other solar players are weathering the storm by merging or forming joint ventures.
