Sinograin Manager Detained Amidst Corruption Allegations

(Beijing) – A general manager at China Grain Reserves Corp. in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province was taken in by party disciplinary officials on suspicion of criminal wrongdoing, according to local authorities.

Li Changxuan was detained on December 8 in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province, on allegations of embezzlement.

Last year, a string of corruption scandals plagued China Grain Reserves Corp, more commonly known as Sinograin. The state-owned company manages China's national grain reserves.
