(Beijing) – China’s bridges aren’t in bad shape, but they aren’t designed to handle the extra heavy loads, according to many experts.
While policymakers may be dealing with a slump in confidence over infrastructure projects on multiple fronts, experts say a troublesome trend of bridge collapses has been attributed to the transport of unsafe loads – and not problems with structural integrity.
