Journalist Tells CCTV He Took Money to Publish Reports Critical of Zoomlion

(Guangzhou) – A reporter arrested by police in Changsha, in the central province of Hunan, has admitted on national television he took money to write reports critical of a large company that makes heavy equipment.

Chen Yongzhou, who was arrested in mid-October appeared on a news show of CCTV on October 26 to confess he accepted tens of thousands yuan from a middleman to write inaccurate reports about Changsha-based Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Development Co. Ltd.
