Plenum Insight: Party Sets Up 'Leading Group' Dedicated to Reform

(Beijing) – The Communist Party will establish a "leading group" to handle reform efforts, according to a communiqué issued at the end of the third full meeting of its 18th Central Committee on November 12.

The leading group's main task will be "comprehensively deepening reform," the communiqué says.

The party has several departments and leading groups to handle specific subjects. Other leading groups are dedicated to economics and public security, for example. The decisions reached by these leading groups are then carried out by government bodies.
