Buyers of New-Energy Cars Will Be Spared Purchase Tax, Premier Says
(Beijing) – People who want to buy new-energy cars will be exempt from paying a purchase tax starting in September, Premier Li Keqiang said on July 9.
The exemption will last from September 1 to the end of 2017, Li said at a meeting of the State Council, China's cabinet. The government is compiling a list of models that will be covered by the new policy.
