The Long Journey to the Rule of Law

I thought the investigation into Zhou Yongkang would be announced no earlier than the fourth plenum of the Communist Party's 18th Central Committee, which is set for early October. But it was announced the same day that the date for the full meeting of the 205-member body was set in late July. I think there is a connection.

The plenum will discuss key issues concerning the rule of law. This means it will aim to correct mistakes made in the fields of politics and law. I believe that such corrections started with the 18th party congress in late 2012, but the latest version of the judicial reform plan has shown greater commitment to progress.
