Group-Buying Website Says It Is Victim of 'Rumor Monger'

(Beijing) – A group buying website has said in a statement that articles appearing on the Internet saying an attempt at fundraising failed were written by a "rumor monger" it intends to sue.

Meituan.com said in statement on September 15 that it knew who wrote the two articles, which it said damaged its reputation. The articles said that Wang Xing, the founder of Meituan, had invited large investment firms such as Tiger Fund to a road show in the United States in August, but it received no interest.
