November PMI at 48.6, Marking the Ninth Straight Month of Manufacturing Contraction

(Beijing) – The country's manufacturing activity contracted for the ninth straight month in November, as the Caixin China Purchasing Managers' Index came in at 48.6.
The figure is slightly up from October's 48.3, but still below the neutral 50-point level. The figure for November is also the highest seen since June.
The uptick was driven partly by improvements in the output category, which stabilized after six months of decline.
