Chinese Vice Premier Liu He and U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin are talking again.

The two had a phone call on Friday, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing unnamed officials. Per the Journal:

“The Friday conversation didn’t lead to any breakthrough in those issues but the renewed discussions indicate the two sides are trying to reach an accommodation, the officials say.”

China and the U.S. have held several rounds of talks this year, but so far none of them have led to any breakthroughs.
