China’s National Bureau of Statistics announced that it has identified three cases of local county governments fabricating investment data, the bureau announced on Friday. The cases were responsible for a total of 92 falsified statistics.

The local county governments and firms responsible for the fabrication are located in Hebei, Jilin and Hainan provinces, and are now under review by their respective provincial governments. Punishments will be announced later, NBS said.
