China's taste for imported wine has begun to stumble, at least if you're talking French wines.
The Federation of French Wines and Spirit Exporters has just reported that French wine exports to China sagged 14.4% last year to 1 billion euros, after growing 24.5% in 2017. The change appears to reflect declining taste for pricier imports and not the overall market.
Euromonitor is forecasting the overall Chinese wine market grew about 6% last year, and should continue growing at a similar rate for the next few years.
