China's A-Share Trading Volume Surges
The total trading volume of Chinese mainland stocks on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange surpassed 500 billion yuan ($74 billion) around one hour after the markets opened.
A mere 11 minutes after the two markets opened, their total trading volume hit 200 billion yuan.
The markets both opened down more than 2%. By the publication of this post, the market drops had narrowed.
