Doctor Suspended for Irregular Treatments at Top University Hospital

A renowned hospital in Central China’s Hunan province has suspended a senior emergency room doctor after initial investigations found he had given patients treatment needlessly, putting their lives at considerable risk to earn extra money.

In a statement (link in Chinese) published by the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University on Thursday, Liu Xiangfeng, 48, was also barred from prescribing drugs and performing operations.
