Vietnam Party Chief to Visit China

What’s new: Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), will pay an official visit to China from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

According to an announcement from the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Nguyen will become the first foreign leader to visit China after the CPC’s 20th National Congress.
