China Denounces Washington’s Fentanyl Sanctions

What’s new: The Chinese Embassy in the U.S. has condemned Washington for sanctioning more than a dozen Chinese companies and citizens allegedly involved in facilitating the production of fentanyl-laced drugs.

Such sanctions have “eroded the foundation” of counter-narcotics cooperation between the two countries, the embassy’s spokesperson said in a Tuesday statement.
