China has for the first time revealed details of its manned mission to the moon slated for 2030, saying it will use two separate rockets, one to transport the astronauts to the lunar orbit and another carrying a lander that will shuttle them to the surface.

After rendezvousing in lunar orbit, the lander and manned spacecraft will dock and astronauts will then detach in the lander, which will take them down to the moon, official media cited Zhang Hailian, deputy chief engineer with the China Manned Space Agency, as saying.
