China Carbon Watch: Trading Hits Highest This Year

Trading in China’s national carbon emissions allowance market jumped to the highest this year in June, totaling 2.3 million tons, up 87% from May.
Roughly all of the increase came from open market transactions, which reached 1.2 million tons.

Open market transactions closed at a 17-month high of 60 yuan ($8.30) per ton in June. Their volume-weighted average price for the month was 57.53 yuan per ton.
