China Suspends Imports of All Japanese Aquatic Products

What’s new: China’s customs agency announced that it had suspended imports of all aquatic products from Japan as of Thursday, shortly after Japan began releasing treated radioactive water from the failed Fukushima nuclear plant into the ocean.
The General Administration of Customs (GAC) said it made the decision to “protect the health of Chinese consumers” and “guard against the risks of radioactive contamination on food safety,” according to a statement released Thursday.
