Qiu Shijie, a vice president of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China’s branch in the central province of Hubei, fell under investigation by top graft busters.
The executive has been investigated “on suspicion of serious violation of law and discipline” — a euphemism for corruption — according to an inspection team dispatched to the bank by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).
