China and the United States will likely discuss increasing flights and journalist visas, as well as reopening consulates during next week’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting in San Francisco, according to a panelist at the 14th Caixin Summit in Beijing.
Relations between the world’s two largest economies have entered a period of “fragile stability,” said Scott Kennedy, a senior adviser at the U.S.-based Center for Strategic and International Studies, who expects both heads of state to meet in San Francisco.
