A 36 billion yuan ($5 billion) high-speed rail line in Southwest China’s Sichuan province got up and running Tuesday after an official investigation dismissed claims of quality problems with its construction.

The 261-kilometer (162-mile) rail line connects provincial capital Chengdu with the city of Yibin, a manufacturing center for electric vehicle batteries that is also home to one of China’s most popular liquor brands, Wuliangye.
