China’s Statistics, Forex and Energy Agencies Get New Deputies

China has appointed new deputy heads of its National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), National Energy Administration (NEA) and State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), according to an announcement Friday.

Ruan Jianhong, a former head of the central bank’s statistics and analysis department, has been named a deputy director of the NBS, while Wan Jinsong, previously of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), has been appointed a deputy head of the NEA. Financial sector veteran Xu Zhibin is SAFE’s new deputy administrator.
