Zhou Xinhuai, a deputy general manager of China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) (中国海洋石油集团有限公司), has been promoted to general manager, the country’s largest offshore oil and gas producer said Friday.

The decision, which was revealed in a statement on the state-owned giant’s website, came on the same day when the country’s top graft-buster, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, announced that Li Yong, a former general manager of the company, had been placed under investigation on suspicion of corruption.
