Moscow and Hanoi pledged to further strengthen relations this week after Russian President Vladimir Putin traveled to Vietnam this week on his first state visit to the country since 2017.
After concluding a rare trip to North Korea, Putin arrived in the Southeast Asian nation on Wednesday for a two-day visit, meeting with key figures including President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong.
