“Ne Zha 2” became the highest-grossing animated film of all time when its box office takings surpassed 12.3 billion yuan ($1.7 billion) on Feb. 18.

Previously, the record was held by 2024’s “Inside Out 2,” which also held the title of animated film that reached $1 billion at the box office in the least time, after hitting the milestone in 19 days. “Ne Zha 2” did it in just 11 days.
