Hong Kong saw a 15.3% year-on-year surge in Chinese mainland visitors during the National Day holiday, giving a boost to the city’s retail and hospitality sectors.
Chinese mainland visitors made more than 1.4 million trips to Hong Kong during the eight-day break, accounting for 85% of the total tourist arrivals, according to data from the city’s Immigration Department.
