China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi rejected the concept of a “G2” framework for global governance between Beijing and Washington, warning that the world should not be run solely by major powers ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s anticipated visit to China.
“World history has always been written by many countries together, and the future of humanity will be forged through the collective efforts of all nations,” Wang said Sunday, during a wide-ranging press conference held on the sidelines of the Two Sessions, China’s annual political gatherings of its top legislature and political advisory body.
