A former senior political advisor in China’s resource-rich Inner Mongolia region was sentenced to 17 years in prison for bribery, capping a decades-long corruption spree that continued well into his retirement.
The Xianning Intermediate People’s Court in Hubei province delivered the verdict on Monday against Wang Zhonghe, former deputy party chief and vice chairman of the Inner Mongolia committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
