The fugitive head of a government-backed Sichuan-based investment firm focused on new energy has been captured abroad and repatriated to China for a corruption investigation.
Liu Liang, 47, general manager of Sichuan Chuantou New Energy Co. Ltd., who is suspected of committing serious duty-related crimes, fled the country in April, according to the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) website on Monday. In the same month, supervisory authorities in Ziyang, Sichuan province, opened an investigation into Liu.
